The Newry Rainbow Community have organised a meeting next Tuesday 16th of February at 8pm in the Foyer of the Canal Court Hotel for everyone that is interested in getting involved in organising the Float for this Years Belfast Pride on the 31st of July.
We are also investigating the interest in a presence in Newry’s Saint Patrick’s Day Parade this year. Last years Belfast Pride Float was certainly one of our best and this year we would like to better that. There is work involved but fun is the order of the day.

The NRC is hosting a night of dialogue and discussion between people from the Lesbian, Gay, Bi-sexual and Transgender community and our local political representatives. The evening will provide an opportunity for facilitated engagement with a panel of invited local councillors and MLAs following an opening address by Senator David Norris, one of Ireland’s best known advocates of equality for LGBT people.
