Saturday night saw the first of the Quire Rainbow Connection concerts in the Sean Hollywood Arts Centre in Newry and what a brilliant night it was. The Choir formed by the Belfast LGBT Singers Quire in colloboration the Newry Rainbow Community started rehearsing just a few short months ago and it’s absolutely fantastic the result that was on display on Saturday night.

Full Credit must go to all concerned with the organisation of the event with a special mention to Musical Director, Leanne McCorry, an accomplished Soprano who gave some terrific solo performances.

With songs such as Hallelujah, True Colors and With a little help from my friends, there truly was something for everyone and the signature Rainbow Connection rendition just blew the capacity crowd away.

I haven’t seen the auditorium in the Arts Centre as full in many years which says it all. Quire’s Rainbow Connection welcome new members. If you are interested you should email them on info@quire.org.uk
